Social Dimension
We are a significant provider of leisure, wellness, and health services. Regarding socially sustainable development, our central goal is the well-being of both our customers' and staff.
For customers, this aspect of our operations is evident in equal service, which increases trust in our activities. The social dimension is also strongly emphasized in our personnel policy. We are a significant employer. Considering the diversity of our staff is a vital part of our responsibility. We ensure that our work environment is safe. We are committed to equal treatment and equal rights. We do not tolerate harassment, corruption, or sexual exploitation.
We train and inform our staff about our responsible practices to increase environmental awareness among employees, customers, and partners. Our goal is for responsible teamwork to be visible in all our operations.
Ecological Dimension
The most significant environmental impact of Imatran Kylpylä is related to energy and water consumption. We actively strive to reduce their usage.
We also aim to minimize food waste and garbage generation while improving our waste sorting practices.
We use 100% renewable electricity, environmentally friendly products, and resource-efficient pool technology. We regularly measure and monitor our environmental efficiency. We measure water, electricity, and energy consumption, and our goal is to further refine the measurement of the amount of waste generated in our operations.
Mitigating climate change is part of our environmental care and global responsibility. By reducing our carbon footprint, we contribute to climate action and the well-being of our environment.
We use Comforta Ltd.'s Joutsen-labeled hotel textile service that adheres to responsible energy, water, and chemical consumption.
he Joutsen-labeled hotel textile service helps us to:

Economic Dimension
We also aim to ensure the sustainability of our operations from an economic perspective. Personnel are a significant productive and financial resource in the service industry. Creating and promoting a strong culture of responsible operation requires targeted staff engagement. Success requires training, participation, and a culture of collaboration.
Our procurement also has a significant environmental impact, especially concerning food and chemicals. Therefore, as much as possible, we commit to using locally sourced, organic, and eco-labelled products and food items. We pledge not to use meat, fish, or shellfish products from endangered or protected stocks or species. We minimize food waste and use single-use packaging or disposable utensils only for health and hygiene reasons. The cleaning and washing agents, as well as the paper products we use, are environmentally certified.
We aim to exceed current laws and regulations related to sustainability, while compliance with them represents the minimum standard for us.
We are part of sustainable development in the tourism industry. We aim to lead and inspire partners, customers, and staff to participate in our sustainable development initiatives.
We have concretized our sustainability goals in this action plan. The action plan is updated annually.
